Automated Quantitative Model — Limitations

Our scoring algorithm applies a fixed set of quantitative formulas to financial data. It has inherent limitations:

It relies on backward-looking financial data (SEC filings, reported earnings) which may not reflect current business conditions.
It does not assess qualitative factors such as management quality, regulatory risk, competitive disruption, or macroeconomic trends.
It uses the same formula for all sectors, which may produce misleading scores for capital-intensive industries (utilities, banks, REITs).
Intrinsic value estimates are highly sensitive to growth and discount rate assumptions and are not guarantees of future value.
Financial data is sourced from Yahoo Finance (via yfinance API) and may contain errors, delays, or gaps.
